Doby’s Bridge Elementary School
Fort Mill, South Carolina
Doby’s Bridge Elementary is a 1,000 student elementary school in Fort Mill, SC completed in the summer of 2014. The 120,000 square foot 2-story structure is composed of load bearing masonry and a combination of low-slope built-up and pitched standing seam panel roofs. The interior finishes include epoxy terrazzo tile, VCT, wood flooring, and painted CMU and gypsum walls. Inside, interconnected gathering spaces promote interaction between academic wings, media, athletics, and dining for use during and after school. The project was design bid build and Multi_prime where the MEP contractors worked directly for the Fort Mill School District.
